Its official

Its official! Today marks the end of my 29 year career with the same company. It was so sad to say goodbye to all the friends I have made over the years and know that I will not be seeing them 5 days a week. When you a work full time, the people your work with become your family. You see them more than you see your own family. I will miss ALL of them!

Today also marks the beginning of a new journey. I am not sure what the future holds for me but I am excited to find out!

That being said, here is a link to an article I found with tips to getting over being laid off.

Been a long week

Well it has been a long week. Spent most of it preparing for a yard sale today and tomorrow. Made some money today but hope to make some more tomorrow.

Question.... How much do you usually make when you have a yard sale?

My Story

Hi, my name is Joy. I am married and the mother of two wonderful boys Michael 20 and Tyler 16. I am also Mom to my dog Finn and my two cats Shadow and Whiskers. I have worked at the same company for over 29 years. Then one day last month a meeting was called that changed my life forever, I was being laid off.

So what do I do now?

Well I have been an Independent Sales Representative for Avon for the past 3 years so I am going to work on building my business but what else can I do?

So I decided to start a blog to keep track of my journey. This will be a new adventure for me and I thought I could share my experiences with the world.

I can't wait to see what happens next :)
